We are called to influence the world; not be influenced by it. We do this by learning to yield to the voice of the Lord as He calls us at certain times to step away from the busyness of life, and separate ourselves unto Him. It's during these seasons in the secret place with Him, that we gain perspective and understanding of how to live in the world, without becoming entangled by the spirit of the world.
